A Meeting Between the Leadership and Youth

On February 24, 2026, a meeting between the leadership and youth was held with students residing in the dormitory of the Tashkent Branch of D. I. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. The event was attended by Branch Director B. Nurmetov, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Enlightenment Work of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy O. Yusupdjanov, specialists from the Youth Affairs Office, the university psychologist, and a prevention inspector.
Branch Director B. Nurmetov emphasized the conditions created for young people, the importance of improving the quality of education, and the need for a systematic organization of spiritual and educational activities. He also drew attention to Presidential Decree No. PF-207 dated November 3, 2025, “On Comprehensive Measures to Effectively Protect Public Health and the Nation’s Gene Pool from Drug Abuse and Drug-Related Crimes”, stressing the importance of implementing its provisions among youth.
Continuing the meeting, O. Yusupdjanov elaborated with examples on the content of the youth meeting held on February 24 with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was noted that special attention was paid to comprehensive support for youth, ensuring employment, creating conditions for quality education, encouraging startup and entrepreneurial initiatives, organizing meaningful leisure time, learning foreign languages, and acquiring professional skills. Additionally, within the framework of Decree PF-207, issues such as protecting youth from drug abuse and drug-related crimes, promoting a healthy lifestyle, active participation in sports and social projects, and increasing social engagement through regional and national grants were highlighted.
At the end of the meeting, students received answers to their questions. The event played an important role in strengthening open dialogue with youth, supporting their initiatives and proposals, and enhancing their moral resilience.
