On October 27, 2026, representatives of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) participated in a panel discussion on the Commentary on the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Insolvency”, held within the framework of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Law and Policy Reform Program.

Sherzodbek Masadikov, Head of the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law Disciplines at UWED, served as one of the organizers of the event. The department’s faculty members, Dilfuza Imamova, Qobiljon Nosirov, and Solikha Abdurakhimova, also actively participated in the panel discussion.

The discussion focused on the legal framework governing insolvency in Uzbekistan and the interpretation of relevant provisions of national legislation. The event provided an opportunity for participants to exchange professional perspectives, discuss legal approaches to insolvency regulation, and consider the practical significance of legal commentary in understanding and applying legislation.

The event also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 16 — “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions,” which emphasizes the importance of effective legal frameworks, access to justice, and the development of strong and accountable institutions.
