On October 27, 2026, the Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages organized a masterclass for master’s students specializing in "Public Administration" at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The session, led by Nuriyimon Abdurahim Abulhasan, focused on developing public speaking skills for leaders, managing an audience, crafting effective speeches, and confidently articulating one’s viewpoint during negotiations.

Lieutenant Colonel Nuriyimon Abdurahim Abulhasan previously served as the head of the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers, and later held the positions of Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs and Chief of the Main Directorate for Combating Terrorism and Extremism at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Nuriyimon Abulhasan graduated from the Tashkent Islamic Institute in 1994 and Al-Azhar University in Egypt in 1997. His professional background includes service with the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Office for Interethnic and Religious Affairs within the Presidential Administration, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Association of Non-State Educational Institutions.

The session combined theoretical concepts with practical exercises. The masterclass covered the following key areas:

    • Speech structure and introductions: methods for capturing an audience's attention within the first 30 seconds.

    • Verbal and non-verbal communication: body language (gestures), establishing eye contact, and controlling vocal tone.

    • Audience engagement: techniques for gauging the audience's mood and responding calmly to provocative or challenging questions. • Overcoming pre-performance anxiety: addressing the psychological barriers that leaders face, and utilizing breathing exercises to manage them.

With the guidance of a specialist, participants analyzed the shortcomings in their own presentations through a feedback process. They developed a behavioral strategy for interacting with their teams and conducting negotiations with external partners. By the end of the training, a positive shift in the participants' public speaking proficiency was observed. The specialist also provided recommendations for ongoing professional growth—such as reading academic literature—with a particular focus on honing skills for on-camera appearances and conducting interviews.

During the masterclass, participants received detailed insights into common management pitfalls and how to resolve them, as well as core leadership principles and best practices for effective management. Commemorative souvenirs were awarded for the best questions posed.
