Female UWED Students Win Prizes in the “A Girl's Modesty Is the Nation's Attire” Inter-University Competition

On October 20, 2026, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, in cooperation with New Uzbekistan University, held an inter-university competition among female students titled “A Girl's Modesty Is the Nation's Attire”.

The main goal of the competition was to preserve and widely promote national values, foster traditional Uzbek dress culture, showcase the uniqueness of national attire, and support the culinary skills, practical knowledge, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and creative potential of female students.

The competition focused on aspects such as the culture of national attire, aesthetic taste, culinary knowledge and skills, quick-wittedness, and a creative approach. The event provided an important opportunity to strengthen the female students' respect for national heritage, develop their life skills, and expand inter-university cultural cooperation.

According to the competition results, Rayhona Mavlonova, a second-year student at UWED, took second place and was awarded a special diploma and a valuable gift. Khonzodabegim Alijonova, also a second-year student at the university, received a special certificate and a valuable gift.

These results are a fitting recognition of the female students' knowledge and skills, creative endeavors, and respect for national values.
