A celebratory event dedicated to Teachers and Mentors Day was held at UWED

On October 5 this year, at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, a celebratory event was held in honor of October 1 – Teachers and Mentors Day.

First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of UWED Sodyq Safoev opened the event with welcoming remarks and warmly congratulated the university faculty on their professional holiday. In his speech, he highlighted the vital role and meritorious service of educators in raising the younger generation to be well-rounded, educated, and devoted to the Motherland.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the faculty awards ceremony. “Excellence in Higher Education” badges, established by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, were conferred. In addition, university faculty members were presented with various awards in formal recognition of their worthy contributions to education, science, and the upbringing of the youth.

A number of university staff members were also granted diplomatic ranks for their significant contributions to advancing international cooperation and strengthening external ties.

Following the formal ceremony, the festive program continued with cultural performances. Singer Nargis brought a festive spirit to the audience with her performance. At the conclusion of the event, a reception was held for the participants.
