December 20, 2025 The II International Scientific and Practical Conference “Oriental Languages and Culture” was held at UWED, organized by the Department of Oriental Languages.

The conference was opened by the First Vice-Rector of UWED Akram Umarov, noting the relevance of the presented topics of the conference.

The event included four educational and scientific sessions.

Experts and participants from Japan (Meiji University), China, and other universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the conference as speakers and listeners.

The conference reaffirmed the key role of languages in the modern world, demonstrating an interdisciplinary approach to the study of linguistic diversity and innovation.

 The conference participants paid special attention to the issue of introducing artificial intelligence into the educational process.

The session, which was attended by students from various universities of Uzbekistan, aroused great interest. In their reports, students demonstrated a good level of proficiency in one of the oriental languages and knowledge of the culture of the country of the studied language.

As a result of the conference, new professional contacts were established between universities and researchers.
