    A “Three Generations Meeting” was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy as part of the “Those We Must Never Forget” series of events.

    The event brought together representatives of the older generation and labor veterans, public activists, intellectuals, university professors and lecturers, as well as students.

    The main objective of the meeting was to share the rich life experience and exemplary professional paths of the older generation with young people, strengthen spiritual ties between generations, and further promote patriotism, diligence, humanity, and respect for national values among youth.

    During the meeting, respected veterans who have made a significant contribution to the development of the country and left a lasting mark on society through many years of dedicated work shared their life stories, professional experiences, and valuable advice with the younger generation.

    Among the speakers were I. Khaitov, a journalist, historian, member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, labor veteran and recipient of the “Mehnat shuhrati” Order; G. Khushvakov, labor veteran, professor, recipient of several orders and medals, and retired colonel; M. Adusamatova, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan and recipient of the “Do‘stlik” Order; A. Dehkambaev, labor veteran; M. Irgasheva, recipient of the “Do‘stlik” Order, an outstanding educator and labor veteran; and T. Orazboev, a participant in the war in Afghanistan and recipient of several orders and medals, as well as the first-degree “Mehnat faxriysi” badge.

    The event was also attended by Hikmat Oktamov, Adviser to the Hokim of Mirzo Ulugbek District and Chairman of the Nuroniy Foundation. In his remarks, he highlighted the important role of senior citizens in public life, their responsibility in educating the younger generation, and the importance of intergenerational solidarity.

    As part of the event, a ceremony was also held to present certificates to members of the university’s “Qalqon” (“Shield”) group, one of the important initiatives within university life.

    During the ceremony, the members’ active participation in university life, their contribution to supporting public order and safety, as well as their initiatives aimed at strengthening responsibility, discipline, and patriotism among students were recognized. Certificates were presented to the group members in a ceremonial setting, with wishes for success and new achievements in their future activities.

    The veterans encouraged young people to pursue quality education, acquire modern knowledge and skills, continuously develop themselves, and make diligence and responsibility important principles of their lives. It was emphasized that making a meaningful contribution to the development of the Motherland is a sacred duty of every individual.

    Such meetings are of great importance for young people, providing them with an opportunity to learn from the life experience of the older generation, draw inspiration from their example, and strengthen spiritual ties between generations.
