An open lecture on constitutional law, titled “The Activities of Local Government Authorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” was held at UWED

At University of World Economy and Diplomacy, an open lecture on Constitutional Law entitled “The Activities of Local Government Authorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” was delivered to first-year students of the Faculty of International Law by Professor Aziz Yuldashev of Tashkent State University of Law.
During the lecture, detailed attention was given to the legal status and powers of local government authorities, as well as issues related to improving the activities of local Councils of People’s Deputies and khokimiyats. The importance of protecting public interests, strengthening openness and transparency, and developing public oversight was also emphasized.
Professor Aziz Yuldashev noted the crucial role of local governance bodies in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations. In particular, special emphasis was placed on the importance of territorial governance in addressing such objectives as quality education, gender equality, environmental sustainability, and poverty reduction.
The lecture generated great interest among students. At the end of the event, participants received answers to their questions and exchanged academic views.
