UWED students visited the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan

On April 4, 2026, as part of a special course at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, an educational visit of a delegation of students and faculty to the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan took place.
The event was attended by 60 people, including 35 special course students and 25 representatives of the teaching staff.
The main purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with the rich scientific and spiritual heritage of Uzbekistan, the historical significance of Islamic civilization, as well as deepening theoretical knowledge through practical observation.
During the program, participants got acquainted with the exhibition of the Center, which included unique historical sources, rare manuscripts and modern interactive exhibitions reflecting the stages of development of Islamic civilization.
Brief official speeches also took place in the conference hall. The director of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, Firdavs Abdukhalikov, as well as the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, rector of UWED Sodyq Safoev, made welcoming speeches, emphasizing the scientific and educational significance of this visit.
During the visit, participants were shown a documentary about the activities of the Center, which allowed them to more deeply understand the topics presented.
This educational visit became an important practical experience for students, helping to increase interest in historical heritage, develop analytical thinking and expand their scientific horizons.
