UWED Students Take Part in Literary and Educational Events at the Alley of Writers

On September 14, 21 and 28 this year, students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy visited the Alley of Writers. The visits formed part of a scheduled programme of cultural and educational events held near the monuments to prominent writers, alongside sports competitions.

During the visits, students presented literary programmes dedicated to the lives and works of distinguished figures in Uzbek literature. In particular, a literary evening celebrating Abdulla Qahhor’s rich literary legacy was held at his monument. Students read excerpts from his short stories “The Thief” and “The Patient” and performed scenes based on these works.

The programme also included poetry readings and various sports competitions.

These events helped foster students’ interest in literature, strengthen their appreciation of Uzbekistan’s literary heritage and promote a healthy lifestyle among young people.
