Master class on "Responsibility of International Organizations" held at UWED

On April 1 of the current year, a master class on the topic “Responsibility of International Organizations” was organized for third-year students of the Faculty of International Law at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy within the framework of the course “Law of International Organizations” with the participation of Professor Ravshan Tulkunnovich Khakimov, Doctor of Legal Sciences, from University Sarbon in Tashkent.
Within the framework of the master class, the essence of the institution of responsibility of international organizations was examined from a scientific perspective, including an analysis of its grounds, forms, and mechanisms of implementation. Particular attention was given to the specific features of responsibility arising from breaches of international legal obligations, as well as its distinctions from state responsibility.
In addition, the session addressed pressing issues encountered in practice, including the balance between the immunity of international organizations and their responsibility, legal challenges arising in the context of peacekeeping operations, and the distribution of responsibility between international organizations and their member states.
The professor provided comprehensive answers to the questions raised by students, which made the discussion more engaging and substantive. The master class contributed to strengthening students’ theoretical knowledge, developing their practical skills, and broadening their understanding of current issues in the field of international law.
