The Model United Nations presentation was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy

On September 26, 2026, the presentation of the Model United Nations of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED MUN) took place in the university’s Cinema Hall (Block B). The event, held in English, brought together university students and young people interested in international relations and diplomacy.

For information: UWED MUN has been held since 2005. This year’s conference, scheduled for December, is expected to bring together 280 delegates across eight committees: the UN Security Council, the General Assembly, UNESCO, the Human Rights Council, the World Trade Organization, the International Court of Justice, the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

The event was hosted by Jamshid Khakimov, Secretary-General of UWED MUN. During the presentation, participants learned what the Model United Nations is, how the conference is structured and which committees it includes, and what it means to serve as a delegate.

Following a short video about UWED MUN, the main part of the event began – the MUN Quiz, an entertaining team competition. Over two hours, the teams competed against each other, putting their wit and general knowledge to the test.

At the end of the event, the winning team of the quiz was awarded certificates and gifts. The organizers delivered closing remarks and invited participants to join the UWED MUN conference as delegates this December. The event concluded with a group photo.
