A meeting of the Academic Council for the conferral of the Doctor of Law degree was held at UWED

On September 12 of this year, a meeting of the Academic Council for the conferral of the Doctor of Law degree (DSc.14/2025.27.12.Yu.01.01) took place at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

Participants included Sodyq Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Professor Nugman Nugmanov, Chairman of the Scientific Council; and leading scholars in the field of legal sciences.

During the meeting, a comprehensive discussion took place regarding the Council's activities and its role in ensuring high-quality research in this field. Proposals were put forward to refine the academic degree conferral process, recommendations were developed to enhance the quality of research papers, and opportunities for expanding cooperation between the scientific community and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan were discussed.

In accordance with the agenda, the defense of the Doctor of Legal Sciences (DSc) dissertation by Makhmud Urazboyevich Eshimbetov on the topic "Administrative-Legal Dispute: Theory and Practice," as well as the defense of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law dissertation by Umidkhon Inatillayevich Dustmurodov on the topic "Administrative-Legal Regulation of the Use of Physical Force by Internal Affairs Personnel," were successfully conducted within the specialty 12.00.02 – "Constitutional Law; Administrative Law; Financial and Customs Law."

This meeting marked a significant event for the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, where highly qualified professionals in the field of law are trained.
