UWED Hosts an Open Dialogue on the Theme “One Homeland, One Nation: Building a New Life and a Shared Future”

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a meeting bringing together young people, members of the public, and representatives of political parties.

Held under the slogan “One Homeland, One Nation: Building a New Life and a Shared Future”, the event focused on the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country, the consistent advancement of democratic processes, the development of civil society, as well as ways to further enhance the active participation of young people in public life.

During the meeting, particular attention was given to strengthening young people’s political and legal awareness, reinforcing their sense of civic responsibility, encouraging their active participation in social processes, and supporting their initiatives.

The event was attended by Shohzoda Nashpanovna Qurbonova, Deputy of the Mirzo Ulugbek District Council of People’s Deputies and Chairperson of the Mirzo Ulugbek District Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, who participated as an honorary guest.

The discussion also addressed the role of science, education, and youth in the country’s development, the importance of educating a generation equipped with modern knowledge and skills, and expanding young people’s participation in society and public administration.

It was emphasized that knowledgeable, proactive, patriotic, and socially active young people play an invaluable role in ensuring the country’s sustainable development and prosperous future. Therefore, unlocking their intellectual and social potential and involving them more actively in key national processes remains one of the priority directions of state policy.

At the conclusion of the event, it was noted that such open and meaningful dialogues play an important role in enhancing young people’s political and legal culture, strengthening their civic responsibility, and encouraging their active participation in the life of society.
