Delegation from Japanese Universities Visits UWED

The University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted a meeting with a delegation of faculty and students from leading Japanese universities. The delegation included representatives from Nagoya University, the Nagoya Institute of Technology, and Sugiyama Jogakuin University.

The visit, organized with the support of the Nagoya University Representative Office in Uzbekistan, marked an important step in developing academic ties and expanding cooperation between higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and Japan.

During the visit, representatives from the Japanese universities met with the leadership of UWED to discuss international academic cooperation and prospects for future interaction in education and research. Special attention was given to fostering inter-university contacts, academic exchanges, and creating new opportunities for student and faculty engagement.

An important part of the program was a meeting between the Japanese delegation and UWED students studying the Japanese language. In the course of their interaction, the guests learned about the educational process, the students' interests, and their motivation for studying the Japanese language and culture. The meeting also provided an opportunity for direct cultural and educational dialogue between the youth of both countries.

Such visits not only strengthen institutional ties between universities but also help establish lasting academic and cultural connections between the young people of Uzbekistan and Japan.

UWED noted that the university is consistently developing partnerships with leading foreign universities, expanding international academic ties, and creating new opportunities for its students and faculty through international cooperation. Of particular importance in this process is the training of specialists who can work effectively in an international environment, possess a global mindset, and have a deep understanding of different cultures.
