On December 9 of this year, an interactive lecture was delivered by Jasur Radjabov, Head of the Department for Cooperation with Regional Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, within the course “Current Issues of International Public Law” for master's degree students, dedicated to the topic “International Legal Problems within International Organizations.”

The meeting was attended by faculty members of the “International Law” department, including Doctor of Law, Professor N.A. Nugmanov.

During the lecture, the expert discussed key international legal issues faced by international organizations. It was emphasized that international and intergovernmental organizations play a global role in regulating trade and economic processes, resolving disputes, and harmonizing international law. The lecture also highlighted several unresolved and debated international legal issues arising within the activities of such organizations.

The expert noted the importance of clearly defining the grounds and procedures for holding international organizations responsible for internationally wrongful acts, referred to the Articles on the Responsibility of International Organizations adopted by the UN International Law Commission, and pointed out the emerging challenges related to jurisdiction and oversight.

At the end of the event, participants exchanged practical experience and views on issues arising between the privileges and immunities of international organizations, the norms (procedural rules, resolutions) developed by these organizations, and the domestic legislation of member states.
