UWED Rector Meets with Newly Appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

Sodyq Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, met with Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the current state and prospects of the multifaceted cooperative relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan were discussed.

It was noted that in recent years, bilateral relations have been developing steadily, with practical cooperation expanding in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian, and other spheres.

Particular attention was also paid to further strengthening inter-parliamentary ties. An exchange of views took place on sharing legislative experience, further intensifying the activities of inter-parliamentary cooperation groups, expanding interregional ties, and providing mutual support within international parliamentary organizations.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation on enriching inter-parliamentary interaction with new content for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
