Second Day of the ACQUIN International Expert Panel’s Visit Continues at UWED

On 30 July 2026, the second day of the visit by the international expert panel of the German accreditation agency ACQUIN continued at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The day’s programme began with an internal meeting of the expert panel, followed by a meeting with the UWED leadership and the heads of the University’s structural divisions.

During the meeting, the experts were introduced to UWED’s key areas of activity, its governance and educational quality assurance systems, ongoing digital transformation processes, and the main provisions of the University’s Development Strategy for 2027–2035.

As part of the meeting, the international experts were also shown a special video highlighting UWED’s comprehensive development and the key outcomes of the reforms being implemented across the University. The video presented ongoing efforts to improve institutional governance, enhance the quality of education and research, expand international cooperation, support students, advance digital transformation, and modernise the University’s infrastructure. Particular attention was given to UWED’s progress in developing a modern, transparent, technology-driven, and internationally oriented educational environment aligned with current requirements and international standards.

The expert panel then met with academic programme coordinators and members of the teaching staff. The parties discussed the content and structure of the academic programmes, the organisation of the educational process, expected learning outcomes, research activities, and mechanisms for engagement with students.

The final part of the programme was a meeting with representatives of the UWED student community and alumni. During the open dialogue, the participants discussed the quality of education, opportunities for academic and professional development, student involvement in university life, and the relevance and applicability of the knowledge and skills acquired at UWED to their future professional careers.

The meetings enabled the international experts to gain a comprehensive understanding of UWED’s academic, managerial, and institutional activities as part of the international programme accreditation process.
