UWED representatives met with mahalla activists and young people

Faculty members of the Department of Political Science at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy visited the “Azamat” Mahalla Citizens’ Assembly in Mirzo Ulugbek District. As part of the visit, a meeting was organised to discuss the essence and significance of the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country, youth policy, and ongoing developments in the field of education.
The main purpose of the meeting was to familiarise mahalla activists and members of the public with UWED’s activities in education, research, and international cooperation. During the event, participants were informed about modern educational programmes being introduced at the university, initiatives aimed at providing comprehensive support to young people, and efforts to strengthen research capacity.
The participants also discussed the implementation of educational and spiritual-enlightenment projects under the “Dolzarb 90 kun” programme. These initiatives are designed to help young people spend their free time meaningfully and realise their intellectual and creative potential.
During the dialogue, views were exchanged on prospects for developing cooperation between the university and the mahalla in such areas as career guidance for young people, foreign language teaching, the organisation of academic and educational events, and support for talented youth.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to jointly implement practical measures aimed at enhancing young people’s knowledge and skills, guiding them towards modern professions and specialisations, and further strengthening cooperation between the mahalla and the higher education institution.
