Chinese Public Speaking Competition

On May 12, 2026, the Department of Oriental Languages at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy held its regular Chinese Public Speaking Competition. The participants were second-year students from all academic programs who are studying the Chinese language.

The main goal of the event was to develop the students' oral skills in Chinese, enhance their creative and analytical thinking, and strengthen their intercultural communication competencies.

The jury evaluated pronunciation, vocabulary richness, command of the language, and how thoroughly the topic was covered.

Holding the competition helps to increase student interest in the Chinese language, as well as to develop their public speaking and rhetorical skills. The winners of the competition were awarded commemorative gifts and certificates of participation.
