UWED Hosted a Scientific Article and Thesis Competition on the Topic “Resolution of Labor Disputes: Theory and Practice”

At the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, a scientific article and thesis competition among students was organized within the framework of the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Resolving Labor Disputes: Theory and Practice” in order to improve the quality of education, encourage students’ research activities, and implement the priority objectives set under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Program.
The competition aimed to support students’ academic research on current issues of labor law and labor dispute resolution, as well as to develop academic writing skills among young researchers. The competition was conducted under the supervision of Sherzodbek Masadikov, Head of the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law Disciplines, and Shokhrukh Umirzokov, lecturer of the department.
The submitted scientific works were evaluated based on criteria such as relevance, scientific originality, legal substantiation, analytical approach, and practical significance. According to the final results, students who demonstrated a high academic standard and an independent approach were awarded certificates.
The organization of this competition also contributes to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 16 — “Promote peaceful and inclusive societies, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels,” particularly Target 16.3, which focuses on promoting the rule of law and ensuring equal access to justice for all.
