UWED Students visited the “Museum of Victims of Repression”

On May 8 of this year, students of the Faculty of International Relations, together with lecturers of the Department of Political Science visited the Museum of Victims of Repression in connection with the Day of Memory and Honor.
The main purpose of the visit was to honor the memory of the victims of the repressive policies and the devoted ancestors who fought for independence and justice, as well as to gain a deeper understanding of their lives and activities.
During the visit, the students became closely acquainted with documents and various exhibits displayed in the museum’s ten sections, which are dedicated to restoring the dignity and memory of our compatriots who suffered from mass repressions during the totalitarian regime, whose human honor and dignity were violated. The exhibits also aimed to strengthen feelings of patriotism, loyalty, and devotion to the Motherland among the younger generation.
In addition, during the excursion, specialists provided detailed historical information about the causes and consequences of the policy of repression.
This visit played an important role in broadening the students’ worldview, strengthening respect for the memory of our ancestors, and deepening their knowledge in the field of international relations.
