UWED Holds Graduation Ceremony

On July 10 of this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy held a solemn diploma award ceremony for its graduates.
The event brought together graduates, faculty members, representatives of government institutions, and members of the diplomatic corps.
Opening the ceremony, Sodyq Safoev, First Deputy Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, addressed the graduates online. He congratulated them and highlighted their contribution to the development of the University and the future of Uzbekistan. He noted that the University is proud of its graduates and expressed confidence that they would achieve significant success in their professional careers. The Rector also expressed his deep gratitude to the parents for supporting the students throughout their years of study.
The opening remarks were followed by a video showcasing the vibrant life of the University and the achievements of its students.
Heads of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions abroad, as well as Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of foreign countries attending the ceremony, conveyed their congratulations to the UWED graduates.
Special recognition was given to more than 50 graduates who distinguished themselves through outstanding academic performance and active participation in public and university life. Diplomas and certificates were also presented to the remaining graduates by representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UWED.
The ceremony concluded with a festive concert featuring students and invited artists.
For reference: In 2026, 510 students successfully completed their bachelor’s degree programmes at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. A significant number of graduates continued their studies at prestigious universities in Europe, Asia, and the United States. The most popular fields include international relations, economics, political science, and law.
UWED maintains active cooperation with more than 60 foreign higher education institutions, enabling students to participate in exchange programmes and pursue master’s degrees with the recognition of previously earned academic credits. Many graduates have already secured employment in government institutions, international organisations, diplomatic missions, and the business sector.
