Sodyq Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of UWED, held a meeting with a delegation led by Yang Wanming, President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

During the talks, the parties noted the steady development of the Uzbek-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership under all conditions. They highlighted the importance of implementing agreements reached at the highest level, as well as the role of parliament, education, and public diplomacy in strengthening bilateral ties.

An exchange of views took place on the prospects for cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. The parties also discussed promoting more active direct contacts between regions, including an action plan for the current year.

The implementation of joint projects aimed at developing tourism, educational, and scientific and academic exchanges was also reviewed.
