Sodyq Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of UWED, held a meeting with Ahmad Farooq, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, it was noted that bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan have been developing dynamically in recent years, taking the strategic partnership to a new level. Special attention was given to the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, and the important role of parliaments in this process was emphasized.

The strengthening of inter-parliamentary dialogue, which is crucial for the further development of the mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries, was also reviewed.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for expanding cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, and transport and logistics sectors. The further development of cultural and humanitarian ties, as well as partnerships in education, tourism, and science, were also discussed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, confidence was expressed in the continued strengthening of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan and in the active implementation of outlined plans for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
