On April 24, 2026, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted an event dedicated to the study and promotion of the works of Xi Jinping, Chairman of the People's Republic of China.

The event was organized to broaden students' knowledge of the modern political, socioeconomic, and cultural-humanitarian aspects of China's development, as well as to further strengthen academic and educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China.

As part of the program, official talks were held between S. Safoev, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, and Yu Jun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the parties discussed the further development of cooperation in education, science, and academic exchanges, as well as prospects for implementing joint initiatives aimed at deepening mutual understanding between the youth of both countries.

Following the talks, the event's opening ceremony took place. The university leadership and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China delivered welcoming remarks. In their speeches, they highlighted the high level of Uzbek-Chinese relations, the dynamic development of their bilateral partnership, and the important role of education, science, and cultural dialogue in strengthening friendly ties between the peoples of Uzbekistan and China.

Particular attention was given to the importance of studying China's modern development concepts as reflected in the works of PRC Chairman Xi Jinping. It was noted that these works are of interest to students, researchers, and specialists in international relations, world economics, political science, and diplomacy, as they provide a deeper understanding of the main directions of modern China's domestic and foreign policy.

The main part of the event featured an insightful presentation on the key ideas, initiatives, and works of Xi Jinping. During the presentation, participants learned about China's core approaches to public administration, modernization, socioeconomic development, international cooperation, and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

An interactive quiz was also organized for students to reinforce the knowledge they had gained and to foster greater interest in the study of China, its history, culture, political system, and role in contemporary international processes. Students actively participated in the quiz, demonstrating a keen interest in the event's topic and a strong awareness of the development of Chinese-Uzbek relations.

At the conclusion of the event, the most active participants were awarded commemorative gifts and certificates. The organizers noted that such events help develop students' analytical thinking, broaden their international horizons, and cultivate a deeper understanding of modern global processes.

The event served as an important platform for exchanging views, deepening students' knowledge of China's modern political and economic concepts, and further strengthening educational, scientific, and cultural-humanitarian ties between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and its partner institutions in the People's Republic of China.
