A Spiritual and Educational Journey to Samarkand: Youth on the Bridge Between Past and Future

In order to ensure the implementation of Decree No. PP-3514 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and to promote domestic tourism, the primary organization of the UWED Youth Union initiated and organized a one-day pilgrimage trip for students to the ancient and unique city of Samarkand.
The cornerstone and first destination of this journey was the memorial complex of our great ancestor, the muhaddith Imam al-Bukhari, who is rightfully considered the pride of the entire Muslim world. The students first made a pilgrimage to this sacred site, where they gained a deeper understanding of the life of the "Sultan of Muhaddiths" and the priceless scholarly heritage he left for us. This pilgrimage, which began at the wellspring of spirituality, not only provided the young people with religious and educational knowledge but also gave them spiritual strength.
Throughout the trip, the students continued to explore our country's rich historical heritage, majestic architectural monuments, and national values. The azure domes of Registan Square, the grandeur of the Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum, and the unique tilework of the Bibi-Khanym Mosque awakened a sense of immense pride in every participant. Furthermore, tours of the Shah-i-Zinda complex and the Ulugh Beg Observatory allowed the students to appreciate once more that our ancestors made a huge contribution to world civilization, not only in culture but also in science.
This meaningful and engaging trip served to strengthen the bonds of friendship among the students and further elevated their sense of patriotism. During their one-day journey, the young people not only enjoyed the beauty of the historic city but also returned with their intellectual and spiritual worlds significantly enriched.
