On April 11, 2026, as part of the course "Political Technologies", second-year students of the Faculty of International Relations visited the Center for Public Diplomacy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Uzbekistan.

The practical session was devoted to studying the mechanisms of public diplomacy as one of the key instruments of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s foreign policy. During the visit, participants familiarized themselves with the Center’s activities, its structure, and its main areas of work aimed at developing international cooperation and strengthening intercultural ties.

The students gained insight into ongoing projects, educational and youth programs, as well as initiatives that promote dialogue between countries and public institutions. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of such platforms in fostering sustainable humanitarian and cultural ties within the SCO region.

Participants were also given the opportunity to discuss the practical aspects of public diplomacy and ask questions regarding current trends in this field. Following the meeting, students were invited to participate in the Center’s future projects and events.

The visit was organized by M. Sobirjonova, an assistant lecturer in the Department of Political Science, in collaboration with Z. Abdurakhmanov, a representative of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy, Head of the Information and Analytical Department, and Deputy Director.

The visit to the Center became an important component of practice-oriented education, enabling students to deepen their understanding of international processes and strengthen their professional skills in the field of international relations.
