    On April 21, 2026, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy held a grand opening ceremony for its annual career week, UWED Career Week 2026, aimed at developing students' professional potential and strengthening the connection between the education system and the labor market.

    The event is being attended by students and alumni of the university, as well as representatives from government agencies, the private sector, the banking industry, and international organizations. Over 40 leading companies and approximately 20 government organizations are scheduled to participate throughout the week, creating extensive opportunities for establishing professional contacts and securing future employment.

    The opening ceremony featured a panel discussion on the topic:

    “The Transformation of Higher Education and the Labor Market”.

    The discussion included leading experts and practitioners in human resource management, such as Yuliya Yakovleva, Viktoriya Tokova, Eddie Segal, Liliya Akhatova, and Rano Khamidova.

    The session was moderated by Muzaffar Jalolov, the university's Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation and Economic Affairs.

    A key element of the program will be a two-day Career Fair, during which:

    private and international companies will participate on the first day;

    government organizations will participate on the second day.

    Students will have the opportunity to speak directly with employers, participate in initial interviews, and learn about current career opportunities.

    Additionally, the week's schedule includes training workshops, the launch of the Startupers School, a Global Shapers Forum featuring a simulation of the World Economic Forum, and guest lectures by representatives from the banking and corporate sectors.

    UWED Career Week 2026 helps students develop practical skills, aligns the educational process with the demands of the modern labor market, and fosters effective collaboration between the university and employers.
