In accordance with Presidential Decree No. PQ–330 of July 22, 2022, “On Measures for the Systemic Reform of the Activities of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy,” active work is being carried out at the university to integrate the educational process with practical experience, support students’ research activities, and strengthen their professional skills. The decree specifically emphasizes the organization of practical sessions with the involvement of leading experts from state authorities, governmental and non-governmental institutions, ministries, and committees.

In this regard, on April 6–8, 2026, a practical masterclass was held within the framework of the course “Political Technologies” for 2nd-year students of the Faculty of International Relations. The session was organized under the guidance of Professor E. Sultanova of the “Political Science” Department and conducted by the Director of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy, Mr. Qobiljon Qosimovich Sobirov.

During the masterclass, Mr. Sobirov discussed in detail modern political processes, the diplomatic mechanisms of international organizations, the growing significance of public diplomacy, and factors affecting regional security. Students also engaged in practical tasks aimed at developing competencies in political communication, strategic thinking, and the use of psychological aspects in international negotiations.

Throughout the session, students asked numerous questions of interest, and the expert provided them with thorough, experience-based answers. The event undoubtedly became an important step toward broadening the political outlook of young people and fostering their ability to analyze international processes consciously and independently.

Such meetings and practical sessions are regularly held at UWED. They contribute to enhancing students’ professional competencies, supporting their academic and practical development, and preparing highly qualified modern specialists.
