Master Class on International Road Carriage of Goods Held at The University of World Economy and Diplomacy within The Framework of The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

On March 14 of the current year, a master class titled “International Road Carriage of Goods” was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy for first-year master’s students enrolled in the International Business Law program as part of the course “International Transport Law”. The master class was organized by the head of the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law Disciplines Masadikov Sherzodbek and Professor Imamova Dilfuza of the same department.
For the master class, Imamova Feruza, Director of a logistics company and a specialist in international cargo transportation, was invited as a guest expert.
During the master class, Imamova Feruza provided a detailed explanation of the specific features of international road carriage of goods. She also clarified the differences between the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) and the Customs Convention on the International Transport of Goods under Cover of TIR Carnets (TIR Convention). In addition, she shared her practical experience in the field of international freight transportation, which allowed the master’s students to clearly connect their theoretical knowledge with practical aspects of professional activity.
The master's students showed great interest in the topic, actively participated in the discussion, asked relevant questions, and received substantive and reasoned answers.
This master class directly contributes to the implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goal 16, “Promote peaceful and inclusive societies, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels”, in particular paragraph 16.3, which aims to strengthen the rule of law and ensure equal access to justice, as well as Sustainable Development Goal 17 “Partnerships for sustainable development”, in particular paragraph 17.6, which provides for strengthening international cooperation in science, technology and innovation and expanding access to them.
The master class made a significant contribution to the development of academic dialogue, strengthening the interaction between theory and practice, and improving the educational process.
