On April 6, 2026, the “Heirs of Amir Temur” sports competition was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. Their goal was to promote a healthy lifestyle among students, increase interest in physical education and sports, introduce young people to the legacy of Amir Temur, instill in them the spirit of patriotism and leadership, as well as strengthening sports cooperation between faculties.

During the competition, university students showed high activity, competing in a friendly and competitive atmosphere in full compliance with sports rules. The event was organized at a high university level. The teams “Temurids”, “Khidoya”, “Uwed United”, “Amazon”, “Nebula”, “Kometa”, “Cherik”, “Cherry”, “Turon” and “Uwed Force” took an active part in it. Each team demonstrated their unity, agility, quick thinking and physical fitness.

The competition program included such disciplines as long jump, pull-ups, 100-meter run, relay race, tug-of-war and grenade throwing. These competitions made it possible to test the physical capabilities of students and served to further develop their sports skills. During the competition, a panel of judges determined the results based on fair evaluation criteria.

More than 100 UWED students took part in the event.
