The “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” has been ceremonially launched in Uzbekistan

On April 6, a grand opening ceremony for the “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” sports competition was held at the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory.
This event serves to broadly popularize sports among students, encourage their participation in physical activity, and promote the development of a healthy lifestyle. Furthermore, the competitions held as part of the Olympiad aim to foster an atmosphere of friendship, unity, and healthy competition among young people, as well as to further increase their interest in sports.
Speakers at the opening ceremony emphasized the role of sports in the lives of young people and its importance in developing not only physical but also spiritual and mental fortitude. During the event, the participating teams were wished good luck, and confidence was expressed in their future high achievements.
A total of 1,047 students from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy registered to participate in the “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” across 7 sports via the ERP platform, which clearly demonstrates the strong interest students have in sports.
This Olympiad will be organized in three stages:
• University stage (April 1-30);
• Regional stage (May 1-15);
• Republican final stage (June 1-10).
The competitions are planned to be held for students from public, private, and foreign higher education institutions in our country across 7 sports: 3x3 basketball, volleyball, handball, track and field, table tennis, swimming, and soccer.
These sports competitions are vital for improving the physical health of students, providing meaningful organization for their leisure time, and widely promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
