At Tashkent International Airport, the high-ranking guests were welcomed by Sodyq Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
As part of the visit's itinerary, the delegation visited the Yangi Uzbekiston Park, where a flower-laying ceremony took place at the Independence Monument.
Next, the guests were briefed on the work of the Directorate for the Construction of the New Tashkent City. The delegation was presented with the concept for a large-scale urban development project, which envisions creating modern transport, engineering, and communications infrastructure, developing green spaces, and constructing social facilities.
The visit's agenda placed special emphasis on the education sector. The Tajik representatives visited New Uzbekistan University, where they learned about the institution's core activities, academic framework, and modern educational infrastructure.
Continuing their visit, the delegation led by Rustam Emomali toured the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, which was established at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The guests were introduced to the Center's research and educational initiatives, as well as its unique historical artifacts and exhibitions that reflect Uzbekistan's rich cultural and spiritual heritage and the outstanding contributions of the region's great thinkers and scholars to world civilization.
Members of the Tajik delegation commended the Center's efforts to preserve and popularize historical and cultural heritage, as well as its role in studying and promoting the achievements of Islamic civilization internationally.
At the conclusion of the tour, Rustam Emomali signed the Center's Book of Distinguished Guests.
