On March 5, 2026, Rushana Sadullaeva, a lecturer at the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law, organized another guest lecture for master’s students in the “International Economics” program as part of the course “International Investment Law.”

The lecture was delivered by Timur Davlatov, Senior Research Fellow at the International Relations Legislation Sector of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In his presentation, he addressed the reform of the arbitration system under investment agreements, paying special attention to current challenges facing the investor–state dispute settlement (ISDS) mechanism.

From a practical perspective, Sukhail-bek Isokov, Legal and Compliance Consultant at Samsung Electronics Uzbekistan, shared his professional experience and discussed the company’s activities as one of the leading foreign investors in Uzbekistan. In his presentation, he demonstrated how the principles of international investment law are implemented in practice within a major multinational corporation.

The guest lecture generated significant interest among the master’s students and provided an important opportunity to explore current trends and practical aspects of international investment law.
