UWED Students Become Prize Winners at the International Mathematics Olympiad RUDN Math Olymp 2025

Students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) achieved outstanding results at the international mathematics olympiad RUDN Math Olymp 2025, reaffirming the high level of academic training at the university and strengthening its position within the global educational and research landscape.
The olympiad bringing together participants from various countries and serving as an international platform for demonstrating mathematical culture, analytical thinking, and advanced problem-solving skills. The event was held in a hybrid format — both onsite in Moscow and online — ensuring broad international participation. The official results were announced by the organizers at the end of January 2026.
UWED students’ participation was organized by the Department of System Analysis and Mathematical Modeling. The team was prepared under the supervision of Senior Lecturer Shodmon Turdiev, who provided comprehensive academic guidance and support.
Participation in the international olympiad represents an important component of UWED’s strategy to enhance academic mobility and integration into the global scientific and educational environment. The students demonstrated strong fundamental mathematical training, the ability to apply analytical methods, and a high level of competitiveness on the international stage.
According to the results of the olympiad, UWED students achieved the following distinctions:
Izzatbek Abdulhamidov — Second Degree Diploma (Silver Medal);
Behruzbek Erkinov — Third Degree Diploma (Bronze Medal);
Nurbek Bakhtiyorov — Certificate of Merit; Yusufjon Ortikov — Certificate of Participation.
These achievements continue UWED’s strong track record of success in international mathematical competitions. In 2025, UWED students also became prize winners at the international open student mathematics olympiad Siberian Mathematical Contest, hosted by Novosibirsk State University, as well as at several national-level olympiads.
Consistent high-level performance reflects the effectiveness of UWED’s educational strategy, which focuses on developing fundamental knowledge, research competencies, and international academic competitiveness. Active participation in international olympiads and academic events contributes to strengthening the university’s academic reputation, expanding international collaboration, and preparing a new generation of specialists with advanced analytical skills.
The University of World Economy and Diplomacy congratulates the students and faculty members on their achievements and looks forward to further expanding its international academic initiatives.
