On December 27, a solemn New Year's meeting was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, timed to coincide with the end of 2025. The event brought together the teaching staff, staff, as well as honored guests from state and diplomatic circles.

Before the start of the official part, a special video dedicated to the results of the year was shown. It clearly reflects the main achievements of UWED, as well as a rich program of international events, forums, conferences and visits that have been successfully held by the university over the past period and strengthened its international authority.

The solemn part was opened by the rector of UWED, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sodiq Safoev. In his speech, he summed up the results of the year, noting the significant successes of the university in the field of education, science and international cooperation, and expressed confidence in new achievements in the coming year.

During the ceremony, the best employees and teachers of the university were awarded, whose contribution to the development of the educational process, research activities and strengthening the position of the UWED was especially significant. The ceremony of awarding diplomatic ranks to the university staff added a special solemnity to the moment. The order on appointments was read out by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhromjon Aloev.

The cultural program of the event pleased the audience with bright performances. A special gift for all those present was the concert of the famous opera singer, People's Artist of Uzbekistan Zhenisbek Piyazov, whose skill created a truly festive atmosphere.

The evening ended with a festive buffet, which provided the participants with an excellent opportunity for informal communication, exchange of impressions and plans for the future.

This event not only strengthened the corporate spirit and friendly ties within the UWED team, but also served as an excellent start for celebrating the New Year 2026 with new strength and a positive attitude.
