On December 20 of the current year, Shohrukh Umirzokov, a lecturer at the Department of Civil Law and International Private Law Disciplines of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, together with students of the Faculty of International Law, studied the book “New Uzbekistan: The Path of Shavkat Mirziyoyev” and exchanged views.

The author of this book is the well-known political scientist, senator, and Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, Qudratilla Rafiqov. The book is devoted to the large-scale reforms and transformations implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The book provides detailed information on the modernization of the political system, the liberalization of the economy, the protection of human rights, changes in the judicial and legal sphere, as well as Uzbekistan’s new image in the international arena. At the same time, it offers a comprehensive analysis of the country’s strategic development trajectory and highlights profound transformations in the political, economic, and social spheres.

The author’s book has also been presented at the embassies of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad, international institutions, and at the headquarters of the United Nations, where it was warmly received.

University students expressed strong interest in the book, actively discussed the ideas and views put forward in it, and received comprehensive answers to their questions. The opinions and feedback shared by the students during the discussion contributed to a deeper understanding of the practical significance of the reforms described in the book.

This roundtable discussion played an important role in enhancing young people’s political and legal knowledge, developing independent thinking skills, and widely promoting the essence and content of the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy. At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of systematically continuing such educational and scholarly discussions in the future was emphasized.
