On December 5 of this year, the professors the University of World Economy and Diplomacy N. Aminova, Kh. Maratova, and M. Sabirjonova visited the “Humoyun” mahalla in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district. The event was attended by mahalla activists: a chairman A.E. Jalolov, an assistant M. Mirakhmedov, women’s activist A. Makhmutova, youth leader D. Umarov, crime prevention inspector F. Sayitov, as well as active residents of the mahalla. The event was organized under the theme “Constitution — the Key to Prosperity”.

The chairman of the Humoyun mahalla citizens’ assembly, A.E. Jalolov, delivered a speech congratulating everyone on the 33rd anniversary of the Constitution, which is a symbol of the state and independence. He emphasized that the Constitution is the main document ensuring the rule of law and equality before the law for all. The Constitution is the fundamental law of the state, defining the country’s political system, citizens’ rights and duties, as well as the forms and functions of state authority. It guarantees every citizen equality, freedom, respect, and justice. In addition, the Constitution regulates the activities of state bodies, clearly defining the powers and limitations of the government. It expresses the will of the people and ensures legal stability in the country. The chairman noted that since its adoption, it has served as an important legal foundation for the development, peace, and well-being of society.

In this regard, professors from the Department of Political Science of the Faculty “International Relations” of UWED shared valuable insights and reflections on the Constitution — the main law of the state — in the context of today’s globalization. Professors N. Aminova, Kh. Maratova, and M. Sabirjonova answered questions of the residents and activists. It was emphasized that the Constitution and laws form the foundation of the country’s legal system, and that citizens’ rights and freedoms are guaranteed in states and societies where laws are respected. It was also noted that the growing legal awareness of our citizens, as well as the interest and respect of society members in studying laws and rights, indicate positive changes. At the end of the event an agreement was reached to continue collaborative events with the mahallas.
