    On November 28 of this year, a meeting with Doctor of Sociology, famous politician and public figure Dilorom Tashmukhamedova was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

    D. Tashmukhamedova gave a lecture for the faculty and students of UWED on the topic "New Media Environment: Opportunities and Threats for Young People".

    The speaker focused on the opportunities provided by the new media environment, such as access to information, gaining new knowledge, space for self-expression and acquaintance with different cultures.

    However, along with the positive aspects, the lecturer also emphasized potential threats, including the spread of disinformation, cyberbullying and the impact of social networks on the mental health of young people.

    During the lecture, students actively asked questions and shared their opinions, which contributed to a lively discussion.

    The meeting, organized by the Department of International Relations, aroused great interest among students, who noted the importance of the topics discussed for their personal lives and career growth.
