On November 18, 2025, a roundtable discussion dedicated to the topic “The Role of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals” was held in the building of the Katta Oltintepa Makhalla Citizens’ Assembly. The event was organized by N. A. Nugmanov, Professor of the Department of International Law and Public Law Sciences.

During the discussion, explanations were provided on Uzbekistan’s practical efforts toward implementing and fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals, the establishment of national targets within these goals, and the mechanisms of implementation by foreign governmental and international organizations. Detailed information was also presented regarding the legal measures undertaken in our country to eradicate global poverty, protect the environment and climate, and ensure that all people worldwide enjoy peace and prosperity—key objectives of sustainable development.

Members of the local community council, as well as active community members involved in legal matters, participated in the event. The roundtable was conducted in an open and constructive atmosphere.
