UWED Engages Turkish Language Specialists in Its Academic Process

In order to enhance the quality of Turkish language instruction and expand international cooperation, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Uzbekistan, has launched a new initiative. As part of these agreements, two international experts have been invited to join UWED’s academic process — Yilmaz Daşçıoğlu, Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Sakarya University, and Yasin Layla, Associate Professor at Kırklareli University.
During their visit to the university on November 18, 2025, an introductory meeting was held. The event was attended by U. Dustov, Head of the Office for Academic and Faculty Affairs; V. Mamatkasimova, Head of the Department of Romano-Germanic Languages; as well as staff members of the Office of International Academic Cooperation. The meeting focused on key areas of collaboration, opportunities for adapting international experience, and modern methodologies in teaching the Turkish language.
According to the agreements reached, the academic process will include practical classes, seminars, workshops on Turkish language and culture, as well as various cultural and educational activities with the participation of experts from Türkiye.
The university considers this initiative an important step toward improving the educational process, strengthening international partnerships, and expanding opportunities for intercultural dialogue for students.
