    On November 8 of this year, the International Scientific Conference titled “High-Quality Cooperation and Development between China and Central Asia in the Context of Regional and Country Studies” was held at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (Hangzhou, China). The event was organized within the framework of the Eighth Conference on the Socio-Economic Development of Central Asia and served as an important platform for discussing current issues of cooperation between China and the countries of the region.

    The conference presentations focused on the current state and future prospects of cooperation between China and the Central Asian countries. From the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED), Associate Professor Gavhar Sultanova delivered a presentation titled “Digital Economy and Cross-Border E-Commerce as New Drivers of Cooperation between China and Central Asia.” In her speech, she highlighted the key directions of digital transformation in Central Asia, as well as the potential for digital collaboration between the countries of the region and China.

    Feruza Iskandarova, Chief Specialist of the Office of International Academic Cooperation at UWED, also gave a speech dedicated to educational cooperation between China and Uzbekistan. In her presentation, she spoke about the large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan’s higher education system, provided a brief overview of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, and outlined the existing challenges and prospects for cooperation between Uzbek and Chinese universities.

    The following day, the conference participants visited leading Chinese companies - SUPCOM, Hikvision, and the fintech company Hundsun. The tour provided an opportunity to learn about cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions in the fields of information technology and finance, complementing the overall theme of the conference and highlighting the importance of experience exchange between China and the Central Asian countries.
