On October 14, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted Dr. Vasá László, Chief Advisor and Senior Researcher at the Hungarian Institute of International Relations, Dean of the Doctoral School of Regional and Economic Sciences at Széchenyi István University (Győr, Hungary), and Associate Professor Sándor Remsei, Dean of the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics of the same university.

As part of the visit, Professor Vasá László and Professor Sándor Remsei delivered an open lecture for UWED students on the topic “Hungary’s Foreign Policy and the Higher Education System in Hungary.” During the lecture, Professor Vasá László provided a detailed overview of the main principles of Hungary’s foreign policy, emphasizing in particular the importance of diversifying international cooperation and strengthening mutual relations with partner countries.

Students were also provided with detailed information about the higher education system in Hungary, in particular about the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program. It was noted that this program offers broad opportunities for international students, covering tuition, accommodation, and living expenses, as well as providing possibilities to study in Europe, conduct research, and gain international experience.

At the end of the lecture, an active Q&A session took place. Students received answers to their questions regarding the current aspects of Hungary’s foreign policy, bilateral relations, scholarship programs, and the procedures for studying in Hungary.
