On September 19, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted a meeting with Tat-Tienne Louembe, Chief Representative Officer for Europe and Intergovernmental Organizations at the International Trademark Association (INTA), together with students of the Faculty of International Law.
During the event, the guest delivered a detailed lecture on the role of intellectual property in today’s knowledge-based economy, its importance for consumer trust, innovation, and sustainable development. Important insights were also shared on protecting brands and consumer rights, the negative consequences of counterfeit products, and the strategic significance of intellectual property for global security, economic growth, and international cooperation.
The meeting was organized in an interactive format, allowing students to ask questions of interest. Tat-Tienne Louembe provided comprehensive answers and highly valued the knowledge and interest of young people in the field of intellectual property.
In addition, within the framework of the event, an agreement was reached between the Department of International Law and Public Law Sciences and INTA to strengthen cooperation. This initiative will help promote scientific research, seminars, and joint projects in the field of intellectual property at the university.
At the conclusion of the event, UWED leadership and students expressed their willingness to welcome the guest again at the university, emphasizing that such meetings play a crucial role in enhancing students’ academic potential and raising their awareness of pressing global issues.
