UWED Hosts Training Course for HIV Prevention Trainers

On May 27 of this year, a training course for HIV prevention trainers was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED). The event was organized to prevent the spread of HIV infection among young people, enhance students’ knowledge and skills in this area, and improve the effectiveness of preventive awareness-raising activities.
During the event, specialists from the Tashkent City AIDS Prevention Center delivered lectures based on the program “Training for HIV Prevention Trainers.” The experts provided participants with detailed information on the modes of HIV transmission, preventive measures, the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and effective approaches to conducting awareness and prevention activities among young people.
The training sessions also included interactive discussions, practical exercises, and question-and-answer sessions, which helped strengthen participants’ understanding of the topic. Particular attention was paid to the fundamental principles of trainer activities, communication and audience engagement skills, as well as methods of promoting a healthy lifestyle among peers.
Upon completion of the course, participants acquired the necessary knowledge and practical skills to independently organize HIV prevention awareness activities and conduct educational outreach among young people.
This event became one of the important initiatives aimed at improving young people’s health literacy, protecting their well-being, and preventing the spread of HIV infection.
