    On September 22, 2025, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted a guest lecture as part of the course on International Law and Public Legal Disciplines.

    The lecture was delivered by invited guests from India: Dr. Niteesh Kumar Upadhyay, Associate Professor at the School of Law, Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (Gandhinagar, Gujarat), and Dr. Arti Aneja, Senior Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. The session focused on the topic “Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights: Challenges and Prospects.”

    During the lecture, the speakers explored the interaction between artificial intelligence and human rights, the role of global actors in the development of AI, as well as the positive and negative impacts of AI on human rights.

    The event was attended by Dr. Nargiza Kadirova, Head of the Department of International Law and Public Law Sciences at UWED, along with the faculty members of the department. The guests actively engaged with students by asking thought-provoking questions, while the students demonstrated great interest in the timely topic and participated actively in the discussions.

    The discussion addressed the ethical, legal, and political aspects of AI implementation and sparked a lively exchange of views between students and experts.
