On July 22, 2025, a practical seminar on "Protecting children from violence: national and international practice" was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The event was actively attended by the First Vice-Rector for Youth Issues and Spiritual and Educational Affairs of UWED O.A.Yusupdjanov, Director of the UWED Legal Clinic Z.S. Ubaydullaev, a specialist in children's rights at the "Inson" Social Services Center in Mirzo-Ulugbek District, X.Gafruddinov, a representative of the school and preschool education department of Mirzo-Ulugbek District G.Yunusova, as well as heads and representatives of 51 state preschool educational organizations and 17 non-state preschool educational organizations, students of the International Law Faculty actively expressed their opinions on the topic of the practical seminar.

The management, teachers and students of the university took part in the seminar with relevant reports on the topic. During the event, special attention was paid to the importance of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Using examples from judicial practice, the norms of Uzbek legislation in the field of protection of children's rights were analyzed in detail, which helped the participants to combine theory with practice.

Heads of preschool educational institutions and other participants were actively involved in the discussion, expressed opinions and shared experiences. Thanks to this, the seminar turned out to be interactive and productive. As a result, practical recommendations were developed on key issues of protecting children from violence at the national and international levels.

At the end of the event, a number of proposals and recommendations were put forward to ensure the rights of children, prevent violence and support child victims. This seminar will make a significant contribution to increasing responsibility in the field of protecting children's rights, strengthening the potential of specialists and forming an intolerant attitude towards violence against children in society.
