On July 23 of this year, a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Uzbekistan was held in the building of the US Congress.

This forum is organized jointly with members of the Uzbekistan Caucus in the U.S. Congress. It was attended by a delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Sodyq Safoev.

During the event dedicated to the Day of Uzbekistan, which became the main part of the forum, the delegation of Uzbekistan informed in detail about the reforms carried out in the country in the political, economic and social spheres, priority areas of foreign policy, as well as approaches to international and regional security issues. Uzbekistan's efforts towards joining the World Trade Organization, the conditions created for investors and commitment to the principles of an open market economy were particularly noted.

Members of the US Congress - Congressman Trent Kelly, Senator Steve Danes, Congresswoman Carol Miller and the heads of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, leading international companies and funds made a report at the meeting. They highly appreciated the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan and recognized our country as the locomotive of positive changes in the region.

The dialogues, interviews and wide media coverage held within the framework of the forum showed the high level of the event dedicated to the Day of Uzbekistan. It has given a new impetus to the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States, which serves to deepen bilateral cooperation.
