UWED Student Awarded a Prize Named the Peter Derlider Prize

On May 29 of this year, a ceremony was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) to present the Peter Derlider Prize, established by Laurea Germania, a company based in Hamburg, Germany.
This award is presented annually to the most gifted student among those enrolled at the institutions attended by the company’s founder, Farid Zakirov, who possesses exceptional potential, demonstrates strong ambition, and stands out through remarkable achievements on the international stage.
In 2025, the prize was awarded to Bokhodir Dadaev, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of International Law at UWED. He demonstrated a high level of professionalism and active participation in international competitions related to legal analysis. The award was presented personally by the founder and the director of Laurea Germania, Mr. Sören A. Croll.
During the event, Bokhodir Dadaev and his team delivered a presentation about their participation in the international law competition “Vis East Moot.” The presentation detailed their preparation process, the challenges they encountered during international rounds, the well-founded debates before arbitrators, and the outcomes achieved.
The “Vis East Moot” is a prestigious platform for testing students’ knowledge in international arbitration, commercial law, and procedural matters. Bokhodir Dadaev and his team represented not only their university but also their country with distinction, demonstrating a high level of competitiveness on the global stage.
Beyond the award ceremony, the event served as a platform for discussing opportunities for bilateral cooperation. Representatives of Laurea Germania met with UWED leadership to explore prospects for practical experience exchange and support for talented students. The initiative was warmly received, and both parties expressed readiness to continue collaboration.
The prize was established on the initiative of Laurea Germania’s founder and UWED alumnus Farid Zakirov as part of the university’s ongoing engagement with its graduates and aims to encourage students and foster the development of their professional legal competencies.
